It's user-unfriendly and aesthetically revolting. It looks and acts like someone handed their four-year-old a C++ manual and the source code of Yahoo! Mail circa 1998 and said "go to town."
I was a fairly early adopter and endorser of gmail. I've been using it since mid-2004, and apart from some early trouble keeping my machines/browsers up to snuff to take advantage of the latest version without bogging down, I've never had any serious complaints about it until now.
But this just sucks.
